Shimla, July 30 -- Governor Kavinder Gupta on Thursday received the Report on the General Elections to Local Bodies in Himachal Pradesh-2026 from State Election Commissioner Anil Khachi and commended the State Election Commission (SEC) for conducting the elections in a free, fair, peaceful and transparent manner.
The report, submitted at Lok Bhavan, provides a comprehensive account of the Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies elections held in May this year, covering planning, preparations, conduct of polling, administrative measures, logistical arrangements, legal issues and key milestones associated with the electoral process.
