Panchkula, July 26 -- The government told the Rajya Sabha it has no plans to issue a new Office Memorandum granting retrospective MACP benefits to Central Government employees under the ACP Scheme from January 1, 2006 to August 31, 2008.
In its written reply, the government stated that the Sixth Central Pay Commission recommended financial upgradation under the MACP Scheme after 10, 20, and 30 years of service, or after 10 years in the same grade pay. The union Cabinet approved the MACP Scheme with modifications via a Cabinet Secretariat communication on August 29, 2008.
The scheme became effective on September 1, 2008. The House was informed that the ACP Scheme was in force from January 1, 2006 to August 31, 2008.
