Patna, Sept. 4 -- Bihar Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha Friday said that adequate quantities of fertilisers are available across the state and warned that strict action would be taken against sellers involved in black marketing, hoarding or overcharging farmers.
Sinha urged farmers to report complaints to the helpline numbers issued by the Agriculture Department. He said that the current total cost of a bag of urea is Rs 2,232, of which the government provides a subsidy of around Rs 1,966 per bag. The prescribed market price for farmers is Rs 266.50 per bag.
