New Delhi, March 10 -- AI-powered smart yoga mats designed in India may soon enter the wellness market, after the government funded a Bengaluru-based start-up to commercialise the sensor-enabled workout mats.
The Technology Development Board (TDB) under the Department of Science and Technology has provided financial support to Bengaluru-based start-up Wellnesys Technologies Private Limited to scale up its product, the YogiFi Smart Yoga Mat, according to officials from the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The mat is designed to monitor users' movements through sensors embedded in its fabric.
