Mumbai, March 30 -- Maharashtra Legislative Council Deputy Chairperson Neelam Gorhe has strongly rejected allegations made by social activist Trupti Desai, who claimed that Gorhe had met self-styled godman Ashok Kharaat. Terming the accusations as false and misleading, Gorhe asserted that she has no connection with Kharaat and does not believe in such practices. She further challenged Desai to provide concrete evidence to support her claims.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, Gorhe said that she holds a constitutional position and functions with accountability and responsibility.
