Bengaluru, Sept. 6 -- The Telangana Golconda Masters may have been won by Vishesh Sharma, but one of the tournament's most intriguing stories finished well away from the winner's podium.
It belonged to a 15-year-old who arrived at the Hyderabad Golf Association with little of the spotlight that followed the local favourite and left having quietly rewritten a piece of Indian professional golf history.
Arjunveer Shishir became the youngest player to make the cut in a DP World PGTI event, doing so with the sort of second-round performance that makes experienced professionals take notice. Starting with a 72, the Panchkula teenager responded with a seven-under 63, climbing 59 places to finish the day tied 11th at five-under 135.
