Shamli, Aug. 27 -- Tension erupted in the city amid public outrage following the broad -daylight murder of 35-year-old Haryanvi singer and actor Ankit Baliyan on Wednesday evening. The gruesome killing took a new turn after a social media post, allegedly linked to the Gogi gang of Haryana, claimed responsibility for the killing.
Bholu Sahapuria, allegedly associated with the gang, posted on Instagram claiming that Ankit had met members of their rivals and composed a song about an incident involving the gang.
"Ankit had met with our enemies and composed a song about the incident that happened to our Gogi brother. This is just the beginning; everyone's turn will come," the Instagram post allegedly linked to the Gang said.
