Tridib BaparnashNew Delhi, July 27 -- Twelve years after Glasgow first broke her heart, Mirabai Chanu returned to the same city to complete the circle. Yet for the 31-year-old, the journey remains unfinished.
Back in 2014, a teenage Mirabai arrived in Glasgow as one of India's brightest weightlifting prospects after winning gold at the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships the previous year. She improved her total to 170kg in the women's 48kg category but fell agonisingly short of the Commonwealth Games title.
