Dubai, July 22 -- A trio of in-form stars from India Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have closed in on the premier position at the top of the ICC Men's ODI BatterRankings.
New Zealander Daryl Mitchell holds on to a narrow lead as the No.1 ranked batter in 50-over cricket, but Gill (second), Kohli (third) and Rohit (fourth) have all made ground followingsome big efforts for India during their recent ODI series against England.
Gill managed 188 runs across the three matches to close within one rating point of Mitchell (802 Rating Points) at the top, while Kohli (767 Points) and Rohit (758 Points) are also within striking distance following some decent efforts across the recent three-game series that England won 2-1.
