Accra, June 12 -- Jordan Ayew, captain for Ghana's male senior football national team, the Black Stars, has vowed the team will make the country proud at the 2026 FIFA World Cupdespite their tricky group.
Speaking at a send-off event before the team departed from Alexandria, Virginia, for Rhode Island, the United States, Ayew said the squad is motivated to pick valuable points in their Group L games.
Despite coming up against formidable opponents, including Panama, England and Croatia at the group stages in the World Cup, he expressed the team would come through.
