Hamirpur (HP), March 1 -- The Health Department has urged residents to get their Himcare cards made by March 31 to avail full benefits under the state-sponsored health scheme.
Under Himcare, a family is entitled to free treatment up to Rs five lakh upon admission to a registered government hospital.
Smart cards can be made at Lokmitra centres, cyber cafes, or by applicants themselves through the website www.hpsbys.in by uploading Aadhaar card, ration card, mobile number and category certificate, along with payment of the prescribed premium.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Praveen Chaudhary said on Sunday that new card registration will now be open only in March, June, September and December each year.
