Boston, June 30 -- Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann called for self-reflection after his side was eliminated from the FIFA World Cup in the round of 32, losing 4-3 on penalties to Paraguay.

Kai Havertz, whose opening penalty in the shootout was saved on Monday, admitted that Germany fell short despite having played well in the tournament.

"During the tournament, we really gave it our all," Havertz said. "I don't think we played bad football. I think we played good football.
