Mumbai, May 19 -- US-headquartered aero engine manufacturer officially announced here today that it will make a fresh investment of Rs 100 crore in its Pune-based manufacturing facility as part of efforts to expand production capacity and strengthen its operations in India.
The company said in a statement the investment will fund infrastructure upgrades, new welding technologies, advanced inspection equipment, precision tools, gauges and fixtures at the facility, which manufactures critical components for commercial aircraft engines.
With the latest announcement, GE Aerospace's total investment in the Pune facility has crossed Rs 510 crore over the past three years, including Rs 410 crore which it had invested earlier.
