Pune, April 30 -- A gas leak at a chemical company near Gangadham Chowk on Thursday evening caused breathing difficulties among residents leading to hospitalisation of 14 persons including three fire brigade personnel engaged in rescue efforts.
Three others were affected mildly.
The leak began suddenly at the company, spreading a strong odour across the locality. Residents started experiencing breathing problems, leading to confusion and fear as no one initially understood what had happened. Many citizens quickly contacted the police seeking help. Fire brigade teams and police rushed to the spot and launched rescue efforts.
