Vijayapura (Karnataka), June 9 -- The Ganiga community has stepped up pressure on the Congress leadership to induct senior MLA and former Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi into the Karnataka Cabinet, asserting that the community deserves adequate representation in the impending ministerial expansion under Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.
Addressing a press conference here, Ganiga Samaj Association State President Mallikarjun Loni said the Congress has three legislators from the community- Laxman Savadi, BK Sangamesh and Veerendra Pappi - and demanded that at least two of them be accommodated in the ministry.
