Patna, Sept. 5 -- The water level of the Ganga at Gandhi Ghat in Patna crossed the danger mark by 1.91 metres on Saturday and is expected to rise further, according to the Water Resources Department.
In its warning, the department said that the Ganga water level at Gandhi Ghat had risen to 50.51 metres, which is 1.91 metres above the danger mark.
The Engineer-in-Chief of the Water Resources Department alerted all District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police, stating that the river's water level, recorded at 9 am on Saturday, was showing a rising trend.
