Hyderabad, Sept. 25 -- Elaborate arrangements have been made for the immersion of Ganesh idols, including the prestigious Khairatabad and Balapur idols, in Hyderabad on Friday.
The Khairatabad Maha Ganapathi procession, initially scheduled to begin at 0600 hours, was delayed by about two hours following a technical issue with the 'Bahubali' crane used to shift the massive idol onto the special 'Tusker' vehicle. Officials began the lifting process at around 0400 hours, and the procession is expected to proceed via NTR Marg to Hussain Sagar, where the idol will be immersed at Crane No. 5. The immersion is targeted to be completed by 1400 hours.
