Mumbai, May 31 -- The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday announced the inclusion of Ruturaj Gaikwad in the India A squad for the upcoming tri-series in Sri Lanka after vice-captain Riyan Parag was ruled out with a hamstring injury.
Gaikwad has been named as the new vice-captain of the side, which will be led by Tilak Varma during the tournament.
In an official statement, the BCCI said Parag will miss the series due to a hamstring injury and will undergo rehabilitation under the supervision of the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE).
