Shillong, June 15 -- union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari on Monday announced major upcoming National Highway projects worth nearly Rs. 40,000 crore covering approximately 450 kilometres across Meghalaya, which are expected to transform the State's connectivity landscape and accelerate economic growth.
Addressing the inaugural session of the two-day North East India Infrastructure Summit and Exhibition 2026 here, Gadkari emphasised that high-quality infrastructure must directly upliftthe population.
