Gadchiroli, Aug. 13 -- : Police have arrested the headmaster and hostel superintendent of a government-aided residential Ashram school in Gadchiroli district in connection with the death of three tribal girl students following a snakebite incident, officials said on Thursday.

Five persons, including a former MP and a district Congress president, have also been booked for culpable homicide not amounting to murder and other offences.

The action follows the deaths of three students and hospitalisation of three others after they were bitten by a venomous snake at Japtalai Ashram School in Dhanora taluka during the intervening night of August 10.
