Tumakuru, May 20 -- Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Wednesday firmly rejected claims that he had proposed merging Tumakuru with Bengaluru or renaming it as "Bengaluru North," asserting that his remarks were being selectively interpreted and taken out of context.
Clarifying his statement, Parameshwara said there was no question of altering Tumakuru's identity, boundaries or administrative status, and stressed that his comments were only part of a conceptual discussion aimed at promoting regional investment potential.
