Hyderabad, May 19 -- CPI State Assistant Secretary Takkallapalli Srinivasa Rao on Tuesday strongly criticised the Central Government over the fresh hike in petrol and diesel prices, terming it "atrocious" at a time when people are already burdened by rising living costs.

In a statement, Srinivasa Rao alleged that the BJP government had increased fuel prices by Rs. 3 just three days ago and imposed another hike of 90 paise on Tuesday, further burdening poor and middle-class families.
