New Delhi, March 10 -- Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday said that India's Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) are creating significant opportunities for the pharmaceutical, healthcare and medical technology sectors while expanding the country's footprint in global trade.
Addressing a Post Budget Webinar on "Regulatory, Investment and Ease of Doing Business Reforms" here, the minister said that the government has signed nine FTAs over the past three to three-and-a-half years, including five agreements concluded in the last one year.
These agreements, he noted, have enabled India to gain preferential access to a large share of global markets.
