Ahead of the Padma Awards ceremony scheduled at Rashtrapati Bhavan on May 25, the government highlighted the extraordinary journeys of these grassroots heroes whose decades of silent service have transformed lives, preserved traditions and kept the spirit of India alive in villages and small towns.
