The project, recently approved by the union Cabinet, is poised to emerge as a critical trade lifeline between India and Nepal, strengthening one of South Asia's most active land-based economic partnerships.
India remains Nepal's largest trading partner, accounting for over 60 per cent of its total trade volume.
