Bengaluru, May 26 -- Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer Yash Dayal has directly challenged the franchise's official explanation for his absence from the ongoing IPL 2026 season, asserting that he did not voluntarily opt out of the tournament and suggesting the decision was taken at the management level.
Dayal, who continues to remain part of the retained squad of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, has contradicted earlier remarks made by the franchise's Director of Cricket Mo Bobat, who had attributed the pacer's absence to a "personal situation" ahead of the season.
