Bengaluru, July 17 -- Factional fault lines within the Karnataka BJP came to the fore on Friday after former MP G.M. Siddeshwar launched a scathing attack on state president Vijayendra Yediyurappa, accusing him of unilaterally appointing Davangere district office-bearers while sidelining senior leaders and ignoring the sentiments of party workers.
Claiming that the newly announced district team had triggered widespread resentment, Siddeshwar said the appointments were made without consulting him and other senior leaders, and warned that the issue would be escalated to the party's state leadership if corrective steps were not taken.
