Kolkata, June 13 -- In a fresh development that might land Trinamool Congress MP and the party's National General Secretary, Abhishek Banerjee in more trouble, an FIR has been lodged against him alleging that he had been involved in financial irregularities worth nearly Rs 250 crore in the distribution of Amphan cyclone relief funds.
Already facing investigations in a number of cases, including the alleged Assembly signature forgery controversy, provocative comments, and corruption-related allegations, Banerjee may find his legal woes deepening with the filing of a fresh FIR.
