Kolkata, July 25 -- A fresh FIR has been registered against Trinamool Congress national general secretary and Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee over allegations of illegally occupying a luxury resort in Pailan for the party's 'Sebaashray' camps and forcing the establishment to provide free accommodation and food for over 100 workers, causing losses running into several lakh rupees.

The case was registered at Bishnupur police station in South 24 Parganas shortly before chief minister Suvendu Adhikari was scheduled to make a detailed statement in the Assembly on alleged irregularities linked to the Sebaashray initiative.
