New Delhi, Aug. 3 -- Aiming to transform disaster response through technology, free mobile application 'Helpmonk' has been launched to connect disaster-affected people with rescuers, volunteers, government agencies and donors, with its first deployment focused on the ongoing flood crisis in Assam.
Developed by Firingoti, the app 'Helpmonk' serves as a real-time digital emergency platform where people in distress can send SOS alerts, share their locations, upload photographs and communicate their immediate requirements. Verified requests can then be accessed by volunteers, relief organisations and donors, enabling faster and more coordinated assistance.
