Agartala, May 25 -- Based on the CCTV footage, the Crime Branch of Tripura arrested four police personnel for their involvement in the misappropriation of a large quantity of confiscated narcotic cough syrup during an anti-drug operation in Teliamura of Tripura's Khowai district.
The accused policemen, arrested last night, were identified as Inspector Ajit Debbarma, Sub-inspector Rajendra Reang, Woman Sub-inspector Sampa Das (all from Teliamura PS), and Assistant Sub-inspector Sachindra Debbarma (Special Branch), said investigating officer of the case Jayanta Kr Dey.
