Glasgow, Aug. 2 -- Four thousandths of a second separated India's Gulveer Singh from missing the podium as the long-distance runner produced a sensational late charge to clinch bronze in the men's 5,000m at the Commonwealth Games here.
The electronic timing showed Gulveer crossing the finish line in 13:24.95, just 0.004 seconds ahead of Kenya's Cornelius Kemboi after a lung-bursting sprint over the final metres. Kenya's Matthew Kipchumba won gold in 13:23.61, while Australia's Ky Robinson claimed silver in 13:24.70.
