Shimla, June 27 -- Four persons were killed and one sustained injuries after a vehicle plunged into a deep gorge near Sarani Bridge on the Luna-Samra-Uree link road in the Bharmour subdivision of Himachal Pradesh's Chamba district on Saturday.
According to police the accident occurred after the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle on the hilly road, causing it to skid off and fall into the gorge.
The police rushed to the spot and launched rescue operation to retrieve the occupants. Four persons died in the mishap, while the injured was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
