Kakinada, July 13 -- Four persons sustained minor injuries after a roadside tree, uprooted by strong winds, fell on their car near Kakinada on Sunday night, police said.
The incident occurred on the Kakinada-Samalkot canal road when the car was on its way to Kakinada from Samalkot.
Police said the tree suddenly fell on the moving vehicle following heavy gale, causing extensive damage to the car.
Passers-by rushed to the spot and rescued the occupants from the damaged vehicle.
