Chandigarh, Oct. 2 -- Punjab Police on Friday said they have arrested four men and recovered 10 kg of heroin and 10 illegal pistols after busting two alleged cross-border arms and narcotics supply networks in Amritsar district.
The accused were identified as Rajanpreet Singh of Galluwal, Vijay of Rajatal Colony in Gharinda, Parasdeep Singh alias Billa of Kamboa and Gurmukh Singh alias Bodi of Kahangarh, Attari.
"Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused are allegedly linked to foreign-based smugglers," Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said, adding that further investigation was underway to establish the network's backward and forward linkages.
