Imphal, Sept. 25 -- Four persons, including a father and son, were killed in an armed attack at Pilong village in Manipur's Kamjong district yesterday, triggering condemnation and a 24-hour shutdown call by the Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL).
The deceased have been identified as Phami Jajo and his father Vareishim Jajo, both from Kangpat Khullen; Betterson Jajo, of Kangpat Khunou; and Ningthem Kashak, of Zingsui village.
A fifth person, Akhan Kaping of Ukhrul, reportedly survived the attack and alerted authorities. Manipur police is yet to officially confirm the incident.
The incident occurred in the remote Pilong area along the India-Myanmar border, around 35 kilometres from the Kamjong district headquarters.
