Bahraich, Nov. 3 -- At least 10 people, including four children, were injured after a glass water tank shattered during a mermaid show at an Urs fair in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday night.
The incident took place around 9 pm in Khalepur village, under the jurisdiction of Fakharpur police station, nearly 20 km from the district headquarters.
According to eyewitnesses, around 20 people, including several children, were watching the performance when the glass tank suddenly broke, sending water and shattered glass into the audience. Children seated in the front rows bore the brunt of the incident, suffering head injuries and cuts from glass shards that pierced their faces. The girl performing inside the tank was also injured.
