Karachi, March 15 -- Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed on Sunday announced his retirement from international cricket, bringing an end to a distinguished career that spanned nearly two decades and included one of Pakistan's most memorable white-ball triumphs.
The Karachi-born wicketkeeper-batsman, who debuted in an ODI against India at Jaipur in November 2007, featured in 54 Tests, 117 ODIs, and 61 T20Is, scoring 6,164 runs, including six centuries and 35 half-centuries. Behind the stumps, Sarfaraz claimed 315 catches and 56 stumpings.
