Jerusalem, Aug. 5 -- Israeli EuroLeague basketball club Maccabi Tel Aviv announced on Wednesday the signing of Daniel Theis on a two-year contract.
The 34-year-old German center spent eight seasons in the NBA and was part of the German national teams that won the 2023 FIBA World Cup and 2025 EuroBasket titles.
The club did not disclose financial details, but Israeli media reported that Theis will earn about 4.5 million U.S. dollars over the course of the contract.
Theis played 411 NBA regular-season games for the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers and New Orleans Pelicans, averaging 7.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
