Varanasi, Aug. 21 -- Former Rohaniya MLA Surendra Narayan Singh has filed a complaint at the Rajatalab police station on Thursday, alleging that a religious mantra was written on a breakfast plate, demanding an investigation and action.

Bharatiya Janata Party workers have also expressed displeasure over the issue.

According to reports, religious mantras were found inscribed on plates used for serving snacks during an event organised by the Swadeshi Jagran Manch at Bhairavnath Degree College. The former MLA objected to this and filed a complaint with the police station, as well as sharing a post about it on his social media account.
