Jagtial (Telangana), March 25 -- In a significant political development, senior Congress leader and former Minister T. Jeevan Reddy on Wednesday resigned from the Congress, ending his nearly four-decade-long association with the party.
Reddy said he had sent his resignation letter to AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge, relinquishing his primary membership, citing growing indiscipline and internal conflicts in the Jagtial unit.
His exit comes despite efforts by senior party leaders, including IT Minister D Sridhar Babu, TPCC President B Mahesh Kumar Goud, AICC Secretary Sachin Sawant and Government Whip Adi Srinivas, who had recently met him in Jagtial to persuade him to reconsider his decision.
