Shillong, June 23 -- Former Congress MLA in Meghalaya Mohendro Rapsang formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the party's headquarters here on Tuesday.
Rapsang joined the saffron party along with his supporters in the presence of Meghalaya State BJP President Rikman G Momin and cabinet minister Sanbor Shullai, among others.
"I have joined the BJP to work for the progress of Meghalaya and India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. We will strive to make our journey together, a story of progress, prosperity and a pride for Meghalaya and India," Rapsang said.
