Bengaluru, Aug. 19 -- Senior BJP leader and former Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister BC Nagesh died here on Tuesday at the age of 67 following prolonged illness, party sources said.
Nagesh, who had been battling a brain tumour for about a year and had undergone two surgeries, died at his daughter's residence in Bengaluru. He is survived by his wife Veena, daughter Sarada and son Vishdeepa.
His mortal remains will be kept at the state BJP headquarters in Bengaluru on Wednesday for party leaders, workers and the public to pay their last respects. The body will later be taken to his native Tiptur in Tumakuru district, where the last rites are scheduled to be performed on Thursday, family sources said.
