Chennai, June 7 -- In an unique initiative aimed at crime prevention and enhane public confidence, police have launched foot patrollingacross Tamil Nadu and buoyed by its success and overwhelming response from the people, it would be further strengthened across the State.
Police sources said in order to ensure effective maintenance of law and order, prevent crimes proactively, enhance the safety and security ofwomen and children, intensify enforcement against narcotic drugs, and strengthen visible policing across the State, the Tamil Nadu Police hasbeen undertaking various focused initiatives.
