Lucknow, Aug. 4 -- The Uttar Pradesh government presented a supplementary budget of Rs 59,019.54 crore in the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday for the financial year 2026-27.

State Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, while presenting the supplementary demands in the House on the second day of the monsoon session, said that this budget has been prepared with the aim of accelerating the state's development plans, strengthening the infrastructure, and effectively implementing public welfare programs.

He stated that the supplementary budget represents 6.47 per cent of the current financial year's original budget. It includes Rs 17,399.50 crore for revenue expenditure and Rs 41,620.04 crore for capital expenditure. A provision of Rs 7,854.25 ...
