Kochi, Sept. 2 -- Saudi Arabian airline Flynas on Wednesday commenced direct flight services between Kochi and Riyadh, strengthening air connectivity between Kerala and the Saudi Arabian capital.
The inaugural flight from Riyadh arrived at Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) at 7.30 am, where it received a traditional water salute. The launch of the new service was also marked by a cake-cutting ceremony at the airport.
The Kochi-Riyadh service will operate three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays under flight numbers XY399 and XY400. The route will be operated using an Airbus A320 aircraft with a seating capacity of 174 passengers.
