Chennai, March 31 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin's campaign vehicle was stopped and checked by Election Commission's Flying squad officials on Tuesday.

Mr Stalin was proceeding to Tiruvarur from Thanjavur to launch his campaign for the April 23 Assembly elections when the flying squad officials stopped his vehicle at Saliyamangalam village and checked as the Model Code of Conduct for the polls was in force.

However, noting was found and his vehicle was allowed to proceed to Tiruvarur, from where he would launching his three-week long whirlwind campaign to canvass votes for the candidates of the ruling multi-party DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA) in the state.
