Patna, Sept. 4 -- The Patna district administration has intensified relief and rescue operations in flood-affected areas following a rise in the water levels of rivers flowing through the district, with teams working round the clock to assist and evacuate people from vulnerable areas.

Acting on the directions of District Magistrate Kundan Kumar, all Sub-Divisional Officers, Circle Officers and officials and personnel of concerned departments have been deployed to ensure the safety and well-being of people affected by the floods.

People living in low-lying and waterlogged areas are being evacuated to safer locations and shifted to relief camps. The administration has arranged community kitchens, medical facilities and essential medicines, ...
