New Delhi, June 17 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday issued the 'Flood Control Order-2026,' on preparedness measures by various departments ahead of the monsoons, including getting real-time information on water released from the Hathnikund Barrage, and Yamuna's water level, as well as ongoing massive desilting works on over 70 drains.
Issuing the order at a high level-meeting held of the Apex Committee regarding flood control, the CM said it would serve as a guideline document for all departments, and includes details of drainage systems, river embankments, pumping stations, regulatory mechanisms, operational plans, machinery deployment and contact details of control rooms.
