Washington DC, July 15 -- Flights throughout the US' Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport were suspended for several hours on Tuesday, causing more than 100 cancellations and widespread delays, as security measures were put in place during Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi's visit to Washington, sources familiar with the matter told CBS News.
Commercial arrivals and departures at the airport were halted between 11am and around 3pm ET. According to flight-tracking website FlightAware, more than 300 flights were delayed and at least 126 were cancelled.
